가상현실, 메타버스, 암호화폐, 대체불가토큰(NFT) 등 디지털세계의 뉴스들로 매일이 떠들썩한 요즘이다. 과연 우리는 어떠한 세계에서 살고 있으며, 살게 될 것인가.

애니메이션과 퓨처리즘적 영화를 좋아하던 아이는 애니메이터가 되어 자연스럽게 자신의 작업에 자신이 영향받은 평행우주 이론을 접목시키게 되었고, 작업을 통해 픽셀로 디지털화 되어 아카이빙 된 인물들은 작가의 디지털 세계에서 또 다른 자아를 형성하게 되었다.

디지털 세계는 실제 현실을 대변하기도 혹은 완전히 다른 세계를 나타내기도 하는데, 이는 마치 평행우주이론처럼 동시에 존재하는 다른 우주와도 같다.

그렇게 디지털을 통해 자연스럽게 형성된 다중우주 세계관은 메타버스라는 형태로 재구성되고 있으며, 수없이 많은 메타버스 안에 우리 자신이 존재하고, 다른 이야기를 펼쳐 나가게 된다. 가상의 나는 또 다른 나의 페르소나이기도 하지만, 완전히 다른 존재가 될 수도 있는 무한의 스토리를 가질 수 있게 된 것이다.

작가의 픽셀월드의 첫 시작은 불완전한 자아를 보완하기 위해 창조되었지만, 빅뱅 이후의 우주가 여전히 팽창하듯, 예측할 수 없는 자유로운 형태를 통해 발전될 것이며, 우리 인간 역시 새로운 자아를 통해 또 다른 우주관을 구성하는 요소가 될 것이다.

어쩌면 메타버스란 한정 된 삶을 살아가는 현실 세계의 단 한 명의 인간에서 더욱 발전된 형태의 다중 자아를 표현하기 위해 인류가 만들어 내는 세상일지도 모른다. 무엇이든 될 수 있는, 한계가 없는 평행우주의 '나'를 꿈꾸며. Off to Pixellel World.

These days, news from the digital world such as virtual reality, metabus, cryptocurrency, and Non Fungible Tokens (NFT) are making a fuss every day. Can you even imagine what kind of world we live in and how will it change?

A child, who liked animation and futuristic movies, naturally became an animator and incorporated parallel universe theory into his work. The characters are digitally archived in his parallel pixel world with a new persona.

The digital world represents both reality and a completely imaginative world, just like a parallel universe. The multiverse worldview, naturally formed with these new technologies, is reconstructed into the form of metabuses. We ourselves exist in countless metabuses with different stories. My digital persona is another persona of mine, but I am able to have an infinite story that can be completely different.

 

The artist's first start of Pixel World was created to complement the imperfect self. As the universe still expands after the Big Bang, humans will change through unpredictable free forms with new personas. Perhaps Metabus is a world created by mankind to express a more advanced form of multiple egos in a single human being in the real world living with a limited life.
